Statistics recently published suggest that after a long time of decreasing prices Detroit was the only metropolitan area in the country that announced rising property values in February. The price of homes in the Detroit area rose by a humble 1% in comparison Vancouver Real Estate role by 2% and Real Estate Montana by a median 1.5%
We beleive that the upward trend might be the decreasing number of foreclosures, the sale of renovated formerly foreclosed homes and generally more expensive homes entering the market.
There is still some way to go since real estate in the Detroit metropolitan area is still 30% lower now than they were in 2000 however this represents a buying opportunity as the market recovers.
